With Gackt's popularity in the United States and throughout the world growing, a spark has been ignited here as well as other fandoms. What makes a fan a fan? Is it how much they know, how much they own, how long they've been a fan, or is it something else?

I hope to include in this section numerous articles written by you all: the fans. I want to know your opinion: what makes a fan? Should fans make fun of other fans if they think they're stupid? Do fans have to own a piece of merchandise to be a fan?
